Booking Terms and Conditions
Please read the following booking conditions which apply to
all courses offered by the Society of Orthopaedic
Medicine (SOM).
Payment Methods

Cheque payable to 'Society of Orthopaedic Medicine' (post-dated
cheques are not accepted)

Mastercard/VISA/Switch (Amex not accepted)

An invoice can be raised on the following conditions:
a) Full payment by cheque or credit card must be made if booking less
than 4 weeks before the course date - we
cannot accept invoicing details after this time
b) An invoice will be raised providing the following information
is provided:
- Full name and address for invoicing
- A purchase order number (or copy of authority notice)
- A contact telephone number in case of query

Full payment must be made before the course commences
Cancellations
If we receive your cancellation up to 4 weeks before the course
we will refund any money you have paid less a £50
administration charge. Thereafter no refunds can be made for failure
to attend.
The SOM reserves the right to cancel any course if necessary,
although we will do everything we can to ensure that
this does not happen. If the SOM cancels a course, students will have
the option to receive a full refund or
transfer to another module at no charge.
Transfer
You may transfer to another module if notification is received
no less than 4 weeks before the course date. An
administration charge of £50 is made for transfers. You may transfer
to another course only once.
Data protection
To aid networking, a list of delegate names will be provided
to all students and retained by the SOM for the
purpose of informing students of SOM events that we consider may
be of interest. This information will not be
released to third parties. If you would prefer that your name does
not appear on the delegate list, please indicate
on your booking form.
Catering and accommodation
Coffee and tea is included in the registration fee*. Students are required
to purchase their own lunch**.
Accommodation is not included and information on nearby hotels and
guest houses will be provided if requested -
please indicate on your booking form. (Please note that the SOM does
not accept responsibility for the standard of
accommodation).
*Coffee and tea is not included at the Teesside University venue.
However a reception lunch is included on the
first day of the module.
**Lunch is included on the injection module.
