Membership
The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine is a registered charity whose purpose is to promote orthopaedic medicine through education and the funding of research. The Society’s strength lies in its members and we invite you to join them. Membership is only open to fully registered medical practitioners and chartered physiotherapists (or overseas equivalent).

Membership categories
ASSOCIATE: Not full members, but who are fully registered medical practitioners or chartered physiotherapists (or overseas equivalent).
MEMBER: Fully registered medical practitioners or chartered physiotherapists (or overseas equivalent) who have attended Modules A, B and C of the Society’s Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and passed the membership examination proving their competence in clinical diagnosis and treatments in orthopaedic medicine
FELLOW: Members who have attended and passed the Society’s Fellowship course and examination for Fellows proving their competence to teach orthopaedic medicine.
HONORARY: Members who have been recognised for their contribution to the field of orthopaedic medicine. Honorary members are elected by the Council of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine.
